GIVE ME A BREAK!
This piece of garbage falls into my GIVE ME A BREAK category!
So, the President "staged" his teleconference?
I’d like to know what television station, worldwide, wouldn’t prepare people before a live interview? When things are going to go live – you can’t just expect everything to fall into place. You have to prepare unless you want everyone to look stupid - which is exactly what the media was hoping for, and since the President and Troops did NOT look stupid...Hey! They must have planned it that way! No fair!
It’s pretty clear to me that the only reason the media and Paul Rieckhoff, director of the New York-based Operation Truth (please! whose truth??) are having a problem with this is because statements like these were made by the Troops to the President…
And here’s another slap in the face to our soldiers…
On the President’s statement, “You've got tremendous support here at home”
The article says, “Less than 40 percent in an AP-Ipsos poll taken in October said they approved of the way Bush was handling Iraq. Just over half of the public now say the Iraq war was a mistake”.
This flies in the face of every liberal who says they can support our Troops and be against this war at the same time. According to the AP – being against the war = NOT supporting our Troops.

“Thank you very much for everything," he gushed. "I like you”
“Sir, we are prepared to do whatever it takes to make this thing a success”.
"I can tell you over the past 10 months, we've seen a tremendous increase in the capabilities and the confidences of our Iraqi security force partners”.
